Finish your emails with a flourish

Loading ...I always like to end things on a high. That’s why I love being able to add a special signature at the end of my emails. Just a little something that’s all mine, with some contact details thrown in for good measure. You can do it too. Add a saying, a proverb, a phrase that sums you up. It’s up to you how you sign off.
It’s easy to do, just start by click on Options, then selecting Mail Options. Then from the list on the left click on Compose. In the centre of the page after “Signature:” select “Show a signature on all outgoing messages”. On the far right of the message window above the text area click either Plain Text (yawn) or Rich Text (cool and colourful stuff) before you start writing your signature in the text area. Finish off by clicking Save Changes.
There you go. Time for me to sign off.

Thanks for the signature tip Andrew but apart from manually changing signatures each time you wish to send a email ,can you store multiple signatures ie One for work,one for private,one for a club you are in etc I am able to do this in Outlook which I have migrated from Help

Hi, it is great that you are always looking at ways to improve Yahoo. One thing that I really miss is knowing when someone has read your message. is there a facility currently in existence to do this or have you any plans to upgrade Yahoo so that notification messages can be received to let you know when someone has read your email.

Dear Andrew,
Comment one and two are great suggestions, which i would support but also an old feature to edit you signature by using view: html is no more and it becomes lot more confusing to add HTML content because you would have to save it then go back to mail to preview your change. Hope that it turns out right or a one long link

Useful.. but would be 100% more useful if you could create and select from multiple signatures, especially if you can select different signatures to be added depending on the address you are sending from.

I think that a signature at the end of an email just adds a personal touch to it and livens the text up a bit.

A signature (especially from a company) can also save a lot of time typing etc, with addresses, contact numbers, websites, fax numbers, qualifiations etc

This is the problem with yahoo. Thay have not improved their e-mails compared to their rivals. Signature feature has been there & need not new reminders if you read the details under features.

I believe that everyone should make a habit of using a signature it makes an email so much more personal but at the same time says something about the writer.

Offcourse its good to use a signature as it brings more privacy

Signature is great, saves me having to add details to each mail, and also helps that I can delete part of signature on email if it is business, you can’t put ‘Love + stuff’, to the bank!!! or can you??

aol has always had a link so u know if another aol member has opened the mail so why 10 years later does no one else have this feature. Also why store a signature when u can use features to make it look reasonable. Another thing you can do more to pretty up emails in most other applications but most people are boring and dont send out anything more than a boring piece of text like tghe above . How sad they are.

I love the idea of a signature! Is there a way of saving your font and colour too? I would also like to see some more jazzy fonts.

A signature is cool! It brings a sense of originality and authenticity to the whole thing.Let everyone have his own trade mark , something to be recognized with .

Yes a great Newsletter! You give some very helpful capabilities on emailing.
However my biggest frustration over the last few weeks has been the length of time it takes to hook in to Yahoo to get my emails. There is a similar problem with sending when it takes 6 or more SEND’s before the email goes.
Others are having the same experiences but Yahoo have not mentioned any problems and until this Newsletter I could not find a way of feeding this information back.

Hi, having the option of multilpe signatures would REALLY help someone like myself who has about four. Currently, I’ve created one signature that I have to “customize” depending on who it’s going to.
Can we PLEASE have multiple signature facilities as soon as possible?
