Switch to the All-New Mail
November 1st, 2007
The Classic version of Yahoo! Mail is great. But I think the all-new Yahoo! Mail is even better. What’s not to love: Chat with your friends directly in Mail, drag and drop, improved search, new colors and that’s just to name a few.
Want to switch to the all-new mail to try out some of these great features? Here’s how:

Take a look at the image above. Just click the link “Try the new Yahoo! Mail”. With just one click you are taken directly to the new version of Yahoo! Mail.
Have a play around, and if you’re not convinced it fantastic, you can always switch back. The choice is yours. Here’s how to switch back.
Happy emailing,
Andrew - Yahoo! Mail Team

My messenger keeps closing down - what can I do to rectify this??
I would also like to have a second email/messenger address - how do I do this? Thanks.

Hi Vicki,
I can’t be 100% sure that this is your issue, but here goes. It sounds to me that when you sign into mail, you are also signing into the chat feature. When this happens, you will be signed out of the Yahoo! Messenger Client. Try signing out of chat after you log into mail. The next time you sign into mail, it will remember and not try to sign into chat. Then you won’t be logged out of the Messenger client.
For the second email address you can sign up to a new Yahoo! Mail account and then add it as another address in your Mail account. Check out the help pages here: http://help.yahoo.com/l/uk/yahoo/mail/yahoomail/tools/ to see how to add your second email address.
Hope that helps,
Andrew - Yahoo! Mail Team

My mail seems to have reverted back to the classic and it will not change back to the new mail.
How can I change it to the new mail, there is no link to it in the old mail.
Regards

I’ve just purchased an Asus EEE Pc and it’s great - only problem is the new Yahoo mail moans that it’s resolution isn’t upto the job.
It allows you to permanently switch back to classic or go into the new Yahoo mail. It’s really annoying that every time I logon it moans about the resolution. Is there any way to turn this warning off and always use the new Yahoo mail. Even on such a small screen it rocks.

Hi Karl,
Unfortunately, not at the moment. You’re going to have to put up with that message for the time being. I hope you like the Asus EEE. I had to look it up, it looks pretty cool. Maybe for Christmas I’ll treat myself
Thanks,

I have just switched to the new mail version, but it seems as if my pop and smpt settings in Outlook won’t work with it. Is this correct or have I misunderstood it?

I uses the All new Mail since one day tha a problem occured and I had to open my account with the Classic version. Afterwards, I can not change it back to the All New Yahoo Mail version!!! I use the greek yahoo and there is no link to all new mail next to ’sign out’ and ‘My account’ link!!
Can you help me??
Thnaks in advance

Hi Alexandros,
Unfortunately, the all new Yahoo! Mail is not available in the Greek version. In order to access the new version of Yahoo Mail, you would have to change your prefered content to UK English (you can set that in the “my account” settings). Once you do that you will see the link for the all-new Yahoo Mail.
Thanks,
Andrew - Yahoo Mail Team
