To celebrate unlimited storage here in the Yahoo! offices we brought in some big (and I mean big) food stuffs. Who doesn’t like a cheese wedge that’s almost 5 feet tall? I’ve snapped some pics and uploaded to Flickr – our favorite photo sharing site. You can see all the pictures here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ymail_uk_team/.

The Big Cheese

Free, unlimited storage means that Yahoo! Mail is the only email address that grows with you and lasts a lifetime. So now there’s no longer any excuse for letting your photos, files and other digital media collect dust in a cardboard box at the back of a cupboard somewhere.

Yep – and that’s me next to the giant sundae. And boy was that one whopper of a brain freeze.

Happy emailing!!

I would love to use the new mail system, but so often I have to come back to the old one because the new one will not open messages or takes a long time.

I know it is BETA version, but it is great when it works and a pain when it does not which as I said is a little too often.

My system has no problems, Win XP bags of disc space bags of RAM, erevything up-to-date

I agree with john - performance of Yahoo Mail for the past month has been shockingly bad - I haven’t switched back to the old version so don’t know if this would help. I can’t open messages, can’t attach documents and am waiting and waiting for the screens to refresh. The new version looks like a porche but runs like a donkey - sorry guys but that’s my experience. It would greatly enhance the user experience if Yahoo put a button on the e-mail window to be able to report problems. There is no clear way I can find to let Yahoo know that e-mail is not behaving as it should. I really hope you guys can sort out these issues soon as I’m going to have to resort to an alterate e-mail system soon if this keeps on the way it’s going.

    Hi Karen,
Thanks for your comment, and I’m sorry that you’re experiencing difficulties with the performance.  We do offer a way to provide us with product feedback.  If you click the “Help” link just above your inbox you will see an option called “Send us feedback”.  And just like everyone’s blog comments, we read every piece of feedback we get.  If your having trouble getting to the form you can use this URL:  http://help.yahoo.com/fast/help/uk/mail/cgi_betafeedback_mailbeta.

Just remember that’s only a feedback form.  Don’t report technical problems via that form.
    Thanks,

Why do you have to change something which is so good. The very best thing about yahoo was the drag and drop photos - what is the point of all the unlimited storage etc when you take away such an important feature. Change is not always for the best it seems! I have not tried the new email system because all the comments of people using it are not good. Also the lack of information and just dropping the facility out of the blue was very poor indeed. Will be checking with my friends on their email systems!!!

i read in the papers today that you are phasing out yahoo photos by September because of Flicker. Can you give us more information about this and instruction on how to transfer our My photos to Flicker?

    Thanks.

    Hi Edna,

You should be able to find out more about Yahoo! Photos and moving your photos to Flickr in the Yahoo! Photos Help pages.  Here’s the link: http://help.yahoo.com/help/uk/photos/

    Hope it helps,

Why does my inbox get inundated with advertisements for viagra and other sexual aids. My Spam program does not deal with them. At present my ‘blocked addresses’ is full. (500) How do I stop[ these incoming e.mails?
