Look What’s New… (part 1)

Loading ...Hello everyone. You might have noticed some changes to your inbox recently, (and if you don’t see them now, you will soon). So I thought I’d use this space to highlight what’s new.
Checkboxes are back!
I think the first thing you’ll notice is the left-hand column of your Inbox. We heard your feedback loud and clear. And what you told us is that you wanted an easier way to select multiple messages at once. So the new column allows you to select multiple messages (without opening them in the reading pane) and take action on them all together.
Now by checking multiple messages you can delete, move or mark as spam all at once. Of course, if you’re like me and also use email clients like Thunderbird and Outlook, you can still use the Shift-click and Ctrl-click method to select messages.

Yahoo won’t even give the secure login screen. Happened today 12/5/07 after your last update. I use your web based old version (still on Win98).
Please can you put a message on your site explaining what’s going on.
No point sending me an email !

The default login page isn’t secure. But you can always choose to login via a secure page. If you’ll notice underneath the sign-in button, there is a link to take you to a secure page. Or you can access it directly here:

I don’t even bother with Outlook at home anymore. I just use Yahoo! Mail. I find moving mail just as easy with Shift and Ctrl as with Outlook, and am delighted to have just found out how to block pesky spam mail I’ve just started getting.

Once you’ve done that you can move them to any of your folders that you’ve set up. I think I started loving the old spam marking method (single click operation) and you just removed it. It was kinda cool. Actually you could provide both options, single click and checkboxes.

Yahoo Mail Beta is still not working with Norton Internet Security. When will it, so that I can switch back as make use of all its features?
